PT & Fitness ManagerI have worked in the Fitness Industry over the last 20 years in the UK, Australia, Canada and New Zealand. Having been on my own fitness and weight loss journey I can emphasise with the challenges my clients will overcome when reaching their own goals. The Fitness Industry and an active lifestyle has led me to travel and train in many place around there world with my fiancé Kat. We moved to Queenstown in 2014 and instantly fell in love with FightScience, the unique culture and freedom to be creative with your training makes it like nowhere else! We had a brief 19 month spell in Canada but the lure of a life in Queenstown and the dream job as a Fitness Centre Manager was too good to resist.
Queenstown gives me the inspiration to keep training to become the most capable athlete I can and having recently become a Dad to my little boy Billy, I understand the need to be fit and healthy and to a have a good level of General Physical Preparedness at all times!
I believe everyone should embrace their full physical potential to get the most out of life and become the best possible version of themselves and it is my passion to help them do this!

Personal TrainerI started training because at the time it was it was the “thing” to do. I was 16 and thought the only exercises you needed was bench and curls. Slowly over the next few years I realised there is a lot more to training and strive to be on the cutting edge of nutrition, lifting and boxing. Personal TrainerI have been involved and had a passion for sport for as long as I can remember. After leaving high school I made the natural choice for me and went down to Dunedin to study Personal Training and Exercise Prescription at the Sports Institute of Otago. Since graduating I have trained people in gyms and health clubs in both New Zealand and Australia. Being lucky enough to grow up in the Wakatipu I had the opportunity to play many sports during the years and was lucky enough to make it to rep level in many of them. After studying I put my sporting focus 100% into Rugby League with my biggest achievements signing contracts with the Sydney Roosters development and after that with the Burleigh Bears {a feeder club to the Gold Coast Titians} allowing me the opportunity to play semiprofessional Rugby League over in Australia before unfortunately getting injured.
Now days my passion for health and Fitness and love of training is focused on helping people in transforming and achieving their health and fitness goals, and I’m looking forward to helping more of you achieve them.

General Manager / Muay Thai & Boxing CoachMy passion for travel and adventure is what originally brought me to Queenstown and my experience in the fitness and health industry has given me the opportunity to make it my home. I have been involved in competitive sports for as long as I can remember in a number of sports including gymnastics, running, swimming, track and field, boxing and muay thai. Although I had good success in these sports Muay Thai is where I excelled, having my first fight at age 12 and my first pro fight at 16 I was able to win multiple British championship titles and a European title as a junior as well as area and national titles as a pro. As well as developing my self as an athlete this gave me the opportunities to develop my working life in sports and fitness. I now have over 10 years experience working in the health and fitness industry, coaching, personal training and management. “Good, better, best. I have recently made the move to Queenstown from my hometown on the Kapiti Coast, to follow my love for the outdoors, skiing and other adventures that are on offer here in the South!
Growing up, my life revolved around competitive sport, which initially ignited my love for health and fitness. This has moulded my approach to training to this day, and I continue to love every minute of it! Having spent the last 7 years working as a Registered Nurse, I have a thorough understanding of human physiology. I enjoy a variety of different training styles (endurance, HIIT, strength) and value the importance of functional training, with the ambition of being a well rounded athlete.
I recently became qualified as a personal trainer to combine my nursing knowledge with personal training. I aim to provide my clients with a health focused approach that encompasses all aspects of their wellbeing. I enjoy helping others to find motivation within fitness and feel a great sense of accomplishment from seeing them reach their goals. Whether that be helping someone navigate the gym for the first time, to athletes who are looking to enhance their athletic performance, I am excited to bring these skills to the members at Industrial Fitness.
