The Te Iti Kahurangi award is given in recognition of the pursuit of excellence and comes from the whakataukī, ‘Whāia te iti kahurangi, ki te tuohu koe, me he maunga teitei’ which means ‘Seek the treasure that you value most dearly, if you bow your head, let it be to a lofty mountain.’

As well as this award Gary was nominated but narrowly missed out on the Exercise Industry Educator of the year award for the hard work he puts in mentoring new PTs and helping people get qualified!
