HYROX Brisbane 2026 — Industrial Fitness on the International Stage
Three Industrial Fitness athletes took on HYROX Brisbane — including a gold medal, a 2nd overall finish, and a big PB from the women's doubles team.

A crew of three Industrial Fitness athletes travelled across the ditch to represent Queenstown at HYROX Brisbane — one of the toughest fitness races in the world. They came home with a gold medal, a 2nd overall placing, and one of the biggest PBs we've seen all season.

Another huge HYROX weekend for the crew
Four Industrial Fitness athletes took on HYROX Brisbane this weekend — stepping onto the international stage and delivering across the board. Led from the front by head coach Daniel Boyden, the team put together performances the whole gym can be proud of.
Results
Maia Lythe — Women's Open Solo
- 1st in Age Group 19–24
- 2nd Overall
- Finish time: 1:05:12
A dominant race from Maia from the opening run through to the final 1km push. Gold in her age group and a podium finish overall puts her firmly among the best HYROX athletes in Australasia.
Daniel Boyden — Men's Pro (Debut)
- 39th in Age Group 35–39
- Finish time: 1:20:46
Daniel stepped up to the Pro division for the very first time — heavier sleds, heavier wall balls, and a deeper field. Finishing 39th in AG35–39 on debut is a massive result and sets the benchmark for the next one.
Gill Pringle & Helena Smith — Women's Doubles
- 32nd in Age Group
- Finish time: 1:12:39
- Improvement: –8:33 vs. their Auckland time (1:21:12, 3 months earlier)
That's nearly nine minutes chopped off their previous best in just three months. The kind of jump that only comes from consistent, high-quality training — and it shows exactly what's possible when you stick to the plan.
Why HYROX matters
HYROX is one of the toughest tests in fitness — strength, engine, and grit all under pressure. Eight 1km runs interspersed with eight functional stations. No hiding. No cruising. Show up or get exposed.
Showing up is one thing. Performing like this at an international race is another.
Next stop
Massive effort from the whole team. Proud of this crew.
